Super quick bread pizza
Ingredients for 2:
4 slices of bread
1/2 can of peeled tomatoes
100 g smoked scamorza cheese
A pinch of Salt
EVO Olive oil
Ground black pepper
Time: 20 minutes
Let’s cook!
Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Take the bread slices, arrange them in the baking tray side by side.
Open the can of peeled tomatoes, transfer half of them to a bowl and mash them with a fork. Add a pinch of salt.
Season the slices with the peeled tomatoes and top with a slice of smoked scamorza cheese and a little EVO oil.
Bake in a 200-degree oven until the mozzarella has melted (this will take about 10 minutes, depending on your oven).
Serve with a sprinkle of black pepper.
Tip: This recipe also works with stale bread. The only caution is to soften the bread slices with a little water or milk before topping them with the peeled tomatoes. In this case, the baking time in the oven will be lengthened a bit to allow the bread to get nice and crispy.
